You guys (and ladies..mostly ladies!) I was so excited to open up my mailbox and see this gorgeous blue little box yesterday! This is my very first Birchbox! First of all the packaging is ridiculous (like in the best way possible). It is by far the nicest and highest quality box that I’ve received. It made me think everything inside was going to be awesome..and spoiler alert..it kind of was! :)
Birchbox is like the forefather of subscription boxes, as they were one of the first ones to come out! Each month they deliver a selection of quality beauty and hair products. A monthly subscription costs $10 per month! Subscribe here
Inside the Birchbox December 2014 Box:
My favorite item in the box was this Catherine Malandrino perfume…it smells just like Electric Youth perfume from my teenage days..except a little more mature! :) Nostalgia for days when I put this on..and yes, it will be my new perfume! I just wish there were more of it!
I’m not sure if I’ve ever shared this on this blog before, but I have melasma…pretty bad. Melasma is dark pigmentation around the forehead, cheeks and face. I’ve literally tried every cream, peel, treatment ever to try to lighten it…but nothing works..so I’m always on the hunt for a new product..which is why I was happy to see this Real Chemistry 3 Minute Peel product in the Birchbox! And after reading all of the amazing reviews, I’m stoked to try it..I may have to do a video for this one ;)
I’m not gonna lie, I have no idea what a hair filler is…but now I need to try it ;) Apparently you spray 5-10 spritzes into your towel dry hair and it promised to make it look thick and shiny! Ooh lala!
This mascara looks very cool. The packaging is very high end and the curled brush is different!
I gotta be honest…I hate these trial size shampoo packets? Does anyone even use these? Whenever I get these samples, they end up at the bottom of my bathroom vanity drawer until I get fed up with them and throw them out. So unfortunately, I’ll likely never use these? I mean..I’d have to be completely OUT of shampoo and conditioner to use these and even then..I have so many sample packets to go through!
Overall, I’m super impressed with the Birchbox and the fact that it’s only $10 makes this a great value for the money!
