Citrus Lane December 2014 Box Review – Little Pea, Hape Toys & Love Child Organics

I gotta say…most of the December subscription boxes I have received so far have been ON POINT, and this Citrus Lane box was no different! After receiving the email about the Citrus Lane sneakpeek, I was super excited to receive a new copy of Little Pea because this book has been a family favorite for a long time and our copy got water damage! So basically, I already knew I was going to love one of the items in the box..but this month I loved EVERYTHING in the box!

Citrus Lane is a subscription service for babies and kids that delivers age appropriate toys, snacks and gear monthly. Citrus Lane costs $29 per both (or as low as $24 per box with a 6mo subscription), but you can get 40% off your first box with coupon code: TAKE40 and signing up through this link.

Here’s what I got in the December 2014 Citrus Lane Box:

  • Green Toys Stockpot and Utensils
  • Hape Counting Stackers
  • Little Pea
  • Super Blends from Love Child Organics
  • Story City Taxi (Add-on item)

I was first introduced to Green Toys when Citrus Lane sent me this box. I love Green Toys and they tend to be on the expensive side, so I don’t buy them often, but definitely appreciate when they come inside the Ctirus Lane box! I think Finely will get a kick out of this set and try to cook up something good to eat :)

This counting stacker is made by Hape, which is another high quality toy manufacturer. Fin loves stacking these toys. Although he hasn’t quite mastered the same color, same row concept, it does occupy him for a good 10 minutes..and you know…I’ll take it! ;)

My son is obsessed with cars & trucks right now, so I opted to add this Story City Taxi Toy to my box for an additional $5.95. I’m going to give it to Finley as a Christmas present!

Next up were two kids food pouches from Love Child Organics. The two flavors I got were “Strawberries, Peaches & Bananas” and “Blackberries, Raspberries, Pears & Bananas”. Even though Fin is 19 months, I still give him these pouches all the time, it’s an easy way for me to sneak in fruits and veggies into his diet because he doesn’t always want to eat them when I put them on a plate! :)

And now for my favorite item in the box! As I mentioned before I knew I was getting this book, so I was pretty excited. Little Pea is the story about a little pea who absolutely HATES candy..and that’s what you have to eat for dinner if you are a Pea ;) If you’ve never read the “Little” series of books, you MUST DO IT NOW! :) We also own “Little Hoot” & “Little Oink”.
