Conscious Box November 2014 Review & Pictures

Last week, I received my latest Conscious Box and I gotta say, I was a little underwhelmed..whomp whomp! I don’t know if it’s just me? Maybe I’m not granola-y enough to get excited about this stuff? I subscribe to the Taster box which is a step down from their Plus box which offers more full sized products.

Conscious Box is a a healthy snack and organic product box subscription service. Each month you get a box full of gluten free, vegan or classic products delivered to your door. Conscious box offers two levels of subscription, “Plus Box” & “Taster Box”. You can get a FREE ‘Taster Box” when you use coupon code: FREENOW. You’ll only have to pay $4.95 shipping.

Inside this month’s Conscious box I received:

  • Crum Creek Soy Bites
  • SweetRiot Dark Chocolate Squares
  • Vegan Chocolate
  • Drinkwel packets
  • Carolla’s Beeswax Skin Creme
  • Own Skin Care
  • Coupons for, SweetRiot, Vine Market &

First for the tasty treats. The Sweet Riot Dark Chocolate was actually very good. I love dark chocolate so this little treat was right up my alley. I then tried the Amore Di Mona vegan chocolate  and it was ok. I was pretty impressed that it was vegan and tasted decent, my only complaint is that it was a litle waxy. BUT, if you are vegan..than this would be a great alternative to regular chocolate for you.

Next Up was the Crum Creek Soy Bites and these were very bland tasting, I had a few and decided not to continue. I have a friend who is allergic to soy and I know the crap that soy does to your body, so I try to avoid soy when I can. I’m surprised that Conscious Box would offer a snack with features such a high allergen!

These Drinkwel packets are literally multivitamins for people who drink alcohol! How did they know to send them to me? Are my teeth stained with red wine?

I also received 3 Own Skin Health Samples (Lifting eye-cream, Night cream, and Firming concentrate) and Carolla’s Beeswax Skin Creme. I opened up the skin creme and found it to be VERY waxy, but maybe that’s the point. It also smelled like my cousin’s grandmothers house. Not for me.

I also got a bunch of coupons and although I do love coupons, I hate getting coupons like this in my subscription boxes. Citrus Lane does this too and while I see the benefit of it, it makes me feel like I’m being teased. Like…“here’s an itty bitty sample size of our product, but if you want a full size product, you can save 10% off”. WOW, 10% off??? Thanks..but no thanks!

Overall, I’m going to give this box one more chance..actually maybe two because I think I subscribed for a three month subscription. This box definitely didn’t sell me and I’m hoping to see better products next month!
