Ipsy Bag Reveal for January 2015 – See what was inside

It’s time to take a sneak peek into my latest Ipsy bag for January 2015! For $10, Ipsy sends me a goodie bag of high quality beauty products AND a cute little bag! This month’s Ipsy bag arrived just one day after my Birchbox delivery…but you’ll have to wait until the end of this blog post to find out which one I liked better!

Here’s what was inside the Ipsy Bag:

  • Colorblock White/Blue Ipsy Clutch
  • Eco Beauty Good Day Moisturizer
  • Bella Pierre Mineral Eye Shadow
  • Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow
  • Jouer Lip Treatment
  • Pacifica Eyeshadow

My favorite part of this bag was the fun color-blocked Ipsy bag that all of the goodies came in! It’s a smaller clutch size bag and is super cute and bright with the blue & white sides and bright orange zipper!

My next favorite was the brush..can you ever have enough makeup brushes? I don’t think so! This Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow brush has soft bristles looks like it will be a great brush for putting on eyeshadow.

The Pacifica Eyeshadow is a great neutral color with a little shimmer in it. I imagine I’ll use this over my eye shadow to give it a little sparkle.

The Jourer lip treatment was a nice consistency, not thin like the Julep stuff, but not too thick either.  The taste isn’t awesome, but it does provide some nice conditioning to my lips.

I was not a fan of the Belle Pierre eyeshadow, when I opened it up…it literally got everywhere and the color is very dark..I don’t do the whole ‘dark, smokey eye look’ that often, so I don’t think I’ll get much use out of this one.

The last thing in the bag was the Eco Beauty Good Day Moisturizer. It has a nice fresh cucumber-y scent and the consistency is great. As I’ve mentioned before, I hate getting single use sizes of moisturizers..because I firmly believe you need to try it out for many days..even weeks to see if it works.

Overall, I’m going to have to say that I preferred the Birchbox over the Ipsy bag this month..but the Ipsy bag was still full of great stuff and at $10 you can’t go wrong!
